Kelsey Marden

Hi Friends!

For those of you who've known me longer than the past 10 or so years, you probably remember a very different Kelsey. For those of you who haven't known me that long, let me let you in on something: you never would have recognized me.

I was sick. From the time I was 11 or 12 years old, I had a mysterious illness that no one seemed to have the answers to. All I could tell you is one day I was a healthy, active kid, and then one summer, something hit me that changed everything.

My heart rate spiked to the beat of a runner racing to the finish line (I can make this comparison now that I actually am a runner!). I couldn't stand for longer than a few minutes without the blood draining from my face and feeling on the verge of passing out. Even laying completely horizontal on the bed, couch, or floor couldn't rid me of some of these symptoms.

I was constantly in fear that my heart would suddenly stop or explode. I slept all the time--my body pushed to utter exhaustion from managing what was going on inside of it. I saw countless doctors who diagnosed me with various things and prescribed various medications. But no one was able to tell me what was wrong.

Until I met Dr. Rowe.

First, let me just tell you, this man took his time going over every detail of my health history, making sure he missed nothing. After his examinations and tests, he diagnosed me with something called Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. And then he spent the next 8 or so years fighting with me for my cure.

Today, I think you can agree I'm pretty different than the girl you just read about, right? I went back to school and graduated from college. I now work a full-time job. I volunteer with a running based organization and enjoy a full social life. I run. I bike. I climb. I've pretty much become a "yes" person when before most of my answers were "no."

Dr. Rowe was a huge part of getting me here. And he can get many more patients to the same place with your help.

Will you consider donating any amount to provide care, comfort, needed research, and support for patients like me?

This is a cause that hits so close to home for me. I'd love any support you can give! All contributions will help provide care, comfort, research funds, and support for patients of Dr. Rowe's who are suffering from ME/CFS. Together, we can help more patients like me find their cure--and move on to full, healthy, happy lives!
